ValueSet: When did the Jaundice first appear?

Official URL: https://fhir.dk.swisstph-mis.ch/matchbox/fhir/ValueSet/jaundice-first-appear Version: 0.1.0
Draft as of 2023-10-04 Computable Name: valueset-jaundice-first-appear

Ask the caregiver when the baby’s skin first turned yellowish. If the caregiver didn’t notice the yellow discolouration or can’t remember when it started, select “don’t know”. Jaundice that appears in less than 24 hours after birth is always due to an underlying disease. These babies should be referred urgently. Many normal babies, particularly small babies, may have jaundice during the first week of life. This jaundice usually appears on the third or fourth day of life and is mild and disappears before the age of two to  three weeks. It does not need any treatment.

Explanation of the columns that may appear on this page:

Level A few code lists that FHIR defines are hierarchical - each code is assigned a level. In this scheme, some codes are under other codes, and imply that the code they are under also applies
System The source of the definition of the code (when the value set draws in codes defined elsewhere)
Code The code (used as the code in the resource instance)
Display The display (used in the display element of a Coding). If there is no display, implementers should not simply display the code, but map the concept into their application
Definition An explanation of the meaning of the concept
Comments Additional notes about how to use the code
